<p>Weight loss is a huge struggle for a massive amount of people. Obesity is extremely prevalent in today&#8217;s society, and so many people battle with weight issues on a daily basis. Obesity is also the main cause of many other diseases as a result of the unhealthy condition of the human body in an overweight state. Heart disease, diabetes, strokes, and high blood pressure among other issues plague the obese. Battling to lose weight can not only improve an overweight person&#8217;s life, it can save their life.</p>
<p>Although losing weight can seem a tremendously difficult task for most people, there are a lot of methods that can make weight loss easier. The following five easy tips can make a huge difference in any weight loss plan, and can assist in the battle to lose weight.</p>
<p><span id="more-33"></span><br />
Do not eat emotionally. Junk food is not a cure for depression or an aching heart and eating a pint of ice cream after a tough day at work will not make your idiot boss resign. All that eating emotionally will solve is temporarily dulling your feelings by burying them in food, and will make you feel much worse about yourself in the end despite the fact that you probably started eating to feel better. This accomplishes nothing but weight gain. Find another coping mechanism. Exercise works wonders for relieving stress and helps you to lose weight!</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t eat when you are full. Many people eat mindlessly, out of habit, or beyond their limits because something is so delicious. Gorging on food is bad for the body, and overloads a person on unnecessary calories. Listen to what your body tells you. Eat slower, this helps you to determine when you are full. When you feel fullness or satisfaction (when the hunger urge is gone), STOP EATING. Get a to-go box, or pack up the rest of your meal for lunch the following day. Left-overs are a good thing.</p>
<p>Drink more water. Many people eat because they think they are always hungry, but it is actually the body communicating thirst, the need to hydrate. Water, in addition to hydration and cleansing benefits, also fills up the stomach and can help to curb hunger. Drink a full glass of water BEFORE every meal to feel full faster, and you will notice this will help to cut back on meal portions.</p>
<p>Have a positive mindset. Getting defeated easily and giving up will only increase your misery and send you swirling back to your previous bad habits. If you look positively at a weight loss plan and understand that you will encounter challenges, but you can work through them; you will accomplish your goals. Keep dedicated and commit with positivity that you can do anything you put your mind to. This will give you strength in your battle against obesity.</p>
<p>Do not deprive yourself. Deprivation or starvation tactics lead to cravings and binge eating. If you want something that you know is not the best for your diet, have some of it. This doesn&#8217;t mean if you want six layer chocolate cake or caramel cream cheesecake to buy an entire cake and eat it in one sitting just because you want to; that is binge eating. Not depriving yourself means allowing yourself to have what you want within the means of your healthy lifestyle plan. Order the dessert you want, but only have a few bites. Satisfy the craving, but don&#8217;t ruin your whole day or week&#8217;s efforts by going crazy. Then understand that since you had something outside of your weight loss plan, you need to compensate with how the rest of your day goes. Get an extra 30 minutes of exercise in or have an all steamed vegetable meal for dinner or cut out that nighttime snack. Evolve with your needs.</p>
<p>These five tips can go a long way when incorporated into your weight loss plan. Make sure your plan fits you and your lifestyle. True success in weight loss is most certainly possible. Stay committed to what works for you, and understand that it is a long journey, not a sprint, and there will be challenges along the way.</p>

<p>Obesity is one of the leading causes of fatality in America. Blame it on our lifestyle. Blame it on our eating habits. But do we have an answer to this problem? Some people would go leaps and bounds to solve this health issue. And yes, they are willing to go under the knife.</p>
<p>In recent years, surgery has become the last resort for people who want to lose those extra pounds. People who are on the &#8220;bigger side&#8221; are finding it hard to lose weight no matter what type of exercise they do or what kind of diet they take. For them, surgery is the only solution left&#8211;or so they think. Before taking any weight loss surgery (or bariatric surgery), it is important for you to consult a doctor first, so that you will know the risks or if there are other options you can take.</p>
<p><span id="more-79"></span><br />
One of the most common types of weight loss surgery is the Gastric band. For this operation, the stomach size is reduced by an adjustable band placed around the upper part of the stomach. This creates a pouch where food passes through. Since this band&#8217;s capacity is smaller than your stomach&#8217;s, it quickly fills ups&#8211;making you feel full even when eating just a small portion of food.</p>
<p>Similar to Gastric Band, Gastric bypass surgery also accounts for a large majority of the weigh loss surgery procedures. The only difference between the two procedures is that with gastric bypass, the gastro-intestinal tract will be reconstructed. The stomach will be partitioned or divided into two parts. It also involves taking away portions of the bowel. Also, there are parts of the stomach and intestines that are bypassed. It is believed that 70 percent of your body weight can be lost in just two years after undergoing this procedure. And once you reach your ideal weight, it will remain stable for the rest of your life. Experts believe that this is the most effective bariatric procedure for people with high BMI or Body Mass Index.</p>
<p>Sleeve gastrectomy, on the other hand, involves the removal of a big portion of your stomach&#8211;three quarters to be exact. The greater curve of the stomach will be removed, making it appear like just a narrow tube. As your stomach becomes smaller, your food intake will decrease. In a few months, you can lose as much as 50 percent of your body weight. After a year or so, your stomach will eventually expand so the operation can be repeated (or the patient can also undergo other bariatric procedures to achieve a desired weight). For people with a not-so-high BMI, this procedure alone can solve the weight issues.</p>
<p>The fight against obesity is a tough one. And we can&#8217;t blame those people who suffer from morbid obesity for undergoing weight loss surgery. After all, a one-time surgery can actually change their lives in an instant.</p>
<p>But hope is not yet lost. Even without surgery, a person can still lose that weight. The participants of the show &#8220;The Biggest Loser&#8221; can prove that with a proper program, one can get back his or her life back. It may entail hard work, but it is possible.</p>

I can&#8217;t tell you how many times a week a close friend, colleague or family member tells me they would like to lose some weight, and I know I&#8217;m not the only person that hears this either. Each and every single day millions of people in the USA say to themselves those same words, but even though they might want to lose weight or might even need to lose weight, most people don&#8217;t do anything about it, and really just let the problem worsen. If you have ever wondered to yourself if you really needed to lose weight or not, I have listed a few signs below. Firstly, let me just say, there is a big difference between being over weight and being obese. Usually obesity refers to a person that&#8217;s BMI is over 30 when using the following formula:</p>
<p>Divide your weight in pounds by your height in inches squared</p>
<p>Multiple the result by 703</p>
<p>The BMI for people at a healthy weight usually falls between 18.5 and 24.9</p>
<p>A BMI between 25 and 29.9 is considered over weight (which is not the same as obese)</p>
<p>A BMI over 30 is considered obese. Well over 30% of Americans fall into this category and the increase of health problems is dramatic</p>
<p>Another way to figure out if you&#8217;re considered obese rather than using the formula above, is to see if you are 30lbs or more over what you should weigh For example, if Patty is 6&#8242;1 and 27 years old she should weigh somewhere around 155-165, now if she weighs 200, then she is obese. Pretty simple stuff.</p>
<p>1 &#8211; In a lot of situations if you have a family doctor you visit regularly, they will tell you if you need to lose weight or not. Being over weight and being obese can seriously screw up your health as far as higher risks for heart cancer, heart disease, stroke and other &#8220;diseases.&#8221; Also, if you are over weight or obese you might feel lazier or you might not be able to exercise, this can cause you to go down hill even further</p>
<p>2- If you find clothes that used to fit you a year or so ago that don&#8217;t fit you now. We all know when men and women reach a certain age (women especially going through menopause) they start to gain a little weight and no longer fit into clothes they once could fit into. In this case that&#8217;s not really the type of weight gain I&#8217;m talking about because weight gain after men and women reach a certain point is to be expected. The kind of weight gain I&#8217;m speaking about is if a 33 year old wore a size 8 jean 6 months ago and now they are wearing a size 18!</p>
<p>3- If you find simple tasks like walking around, walking up steps or other activities harder, you might need to start thinking about losing weight, of course not being able to breathe isn&#8217;t just related to being over weight but there is a really good chance it is! Often, when people lose weight they find it much easier to do the sports and activities they need to do anyway like take their kids to the zoo.</p>
<p>Should you want to lose the weight you have gained you are usually to proceed with caution, in my opinion weight loss &#8220;pills&#8221; are always a no no. Not only are they not safe, but they aren&#8217;t healthy. What you really need is to find a website online that can help you acquire the results you really want without the use of diet pills. Find a site with a guide, exercising program and a nice nutritional guide to help you out! There really are a lot of these sites available online you just have to know where to go and what to look out for, however, if they have some of the aforementioned &#8220;products&#8221; mentioned in their package, chances are it&#8217;s a great one to consider</p>

Dieting is the practice of ingesting food in a regulated fashion to achieve or maintain a controlled weight. In most cases the goal is weight loss in those who are overweight or obese, but some athletes aspire to gain weight (usually in the form of muscle) and diets can also be used to maintain a stable body weight.</p>
<p>The energy humans get from food is limited by the efficiency of digestion and the efficiency of utilization. The efficiency of digestion is largely dependent on the type of food being eaten. Poorly chewed seeds are poorly digested. Refined sugars and fats are absorbed almost completely. Chewing does not compensate for the calorie content of a food that is eaten, even celery, which is primarily indigestible cellulose, contains enough sugars to easily compensate for the cost of chewing it.</p>
<p>Proteins are large organic compounds made of amino acids arranged in a linear chain and joined together by peptide bonds between the carboxyl and amino groups of adjacent amino acid residues. The sequence of amino acids in a protein is defined by a gene and encoded in the genetic code. Although this genetic code specifies 20 standard amino acids plus selenocysteine and  in certain archaea pyrrolysine, the residues in a protein are sometimes chemically altered in post-translational modification.</p>
<p>This can happen either before the protein is used in the cell, or as part of control mechanisms. Proteins can also work together to achieve a particular function, and they often associate to form stable complexes. In organic chemistry, an unsaturated compound is a chemical compound that contains carbon &#8211; carbon pi bonds such as an alkene or an alkyne.In a saturated compound these pi bonds are removed by the addition of hydrogen and no multiple bonds are present. Alkanes are examples of saturated compounds.</p>
<p>Fatty acids are aliphatic monocarboxylic acids, derived from, or contained in esterified form in an animal or vegetable fat, oil or wax. Natural fatty acids commonly have a chain of 4 to 28 carbons (usually unbranched and even numbered), which may be saturated or unsaturated. By extension, the term is sometimes used to embrace all acyclic aliphatic carboxylic acids.</p>
<p>This would include acetic acid, which is not usually considered a fatty acid because it is so short that the triglyceride triacetin made from it is substantially miscible with water and is thus not a lipid. Deficiencies in Vitamin B12, a bacterial product that cannot be reliably found in plant foods,can have serious health consequences, including anemia and neurodegenerative disease.</p>
<p>Although clinical B12 deficiency is rare in vegans,  if a person has not eaten more than the daily needed amount of B12 over a long period before becoming a vegan then they may not have built up any significant store of the vitamin. In a 2002 laboratory study, more of the strict vegan participants B12 and iron levels were compromised than those of lacto- or lacto-ovo-vegetarian participants.</p>
<p>According to the US National Institute of Health, with appropriate food choices, vegan diets can be adequate for children at all ages.The American Dietetic Association also considers well-planned vegan diets appropriate for all stages of the life cycle, including pregnancy and lactation, but recommends that vegan mothers supplement for iron, vitamin D, and vitamin B12, Vitamin B12 deficiency in lactating vegetarian mothers has been linked to deficiencies and neurological disorders in their children.</p>
<p>The possible beneficial health effects of tea consumption have been suggested and supported by some studies, but others have found no beneficial effects. The studies contrast other claims, including antinutritional effects such as preventing absorption of iron and protein, usually attributed to tannin. The vast majority of studies have been of green tea.</p>
<p>However, some studies have been made of the other types of tea derived from Camellia sinensis, such as white, oolong, and black tea. Green tea has been claimed to be helpful for atherosclerosis, LDL cholesterol, cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, diabetes, liver disease, weight loss,neuro degenerative diseases, and even halitosis.</p>

If you&#8217;re looking to not only lose weight but improve your appearance and your health you may be looking for some good weight loss tips. Well, good news for you! There are several tips available that you can use for just that! Now, the number one thing when trying to lose weight is to start eating healthier, but I&#8217;m personally a big advocate on the whole eat healthier and exercise deal. I don&#8217;t think a person can just exercise 5 days a week and expect to lose weight if all they are eating is cheeseburgers, just in the same way that I don&#8217;t think someone could be a vegetarian and sit on the couch all day every day. It goes hand in hand so just keep this in mind. Eating healthy doesn&#8217;t mean you have to eat sprouts all day long, or that you have to become a vegetarian. It simply means that you should choose to eat foods that are higher in nutritional values.</p>
<p>Another good tip to follow when trying to lose weight is to eat more often. I know this doesn&#8217;t really make sense to a lot of people until they hear why and that&#8217;s completely understandable. Wouldn&#8217;t eating more times a day make you fatter? Nope! In fact, if you&#8217;re eating healthier and exercising, it&#8217;s a good idea to eat at least 6 times a day, this will keep your metabolism going which is a great thing to be doing. You should have breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, snack, this will constantly keep your metabolism &#8220;running&#8221;. Not a lot of people know this but your metabolism actually runs while you sleep which actually allows you to lose weight while sleeping! Pretty cool. Again, you can&#8217;t expect to eat three cheeseburgers, candy, ice cream and a bunch of junk and expect this to happen because it won&#8217;t.</p>
<p>Regarding exercise, it&#8217;s a good idea to find either a gym to join or some sort of other place where you can either do full on exercise or where you can get tips on exercising. I think eating healthy is scary enough for some people, and then when it comes to exercising as well, they really don&#8217;t know what it is they are supposed to be doing exactly. Obviously if you join a gym they can work out a program for you. On the other hand, if you take a look at some of the sites available online they will not only help you out with exercises but with other things as well such as recipes, guides, and more. Use these to your advantage!</p>
<p>Remember when exercising to switch it up, in a lot of cases people just get plain bored when doing a certain exercise, so be sure to spice it up, do something different every day or every other day. I have a program I do that is the same thing every other day, but I have seen incredible results over the last 90 days so really I think either spicing it up for yourself or seeing results will keep you going!</p>
