<p>Weight loss is a huge struggle for a massive amount of people. Obesity is extremely prevalent in today&#8217;s society, and so many people battle with weight issues on a daily basis. Obesity is also the main cause of many other diseases as a result of the unhealthy condition of the human body in an overweight state. Heart disease, diabetes, strokes, and high blood pressure among other issues plague the obese. Battling to lose weight can not only improve an overweight person&#8217;s life, it can save their life.</p>
<p>Although losing weight can seem a tremendously difficult task for most people, there are a lot of methods that can make weight loss easier. The following five easy tips can make a huge difference in any weight loss plan, and can assist in the battle to lose weight.</p>
<p><span id="more-33"></span><br />
Do not eat emotionally. Junk food is not a cure for depression or an aching heart and eating a pint of ice cream after a tough day at work will not make your idiot boss resign. All that eating emotionally will solve is temporarily dulling your feelings by burying them in food, and will make you feel much worse about yourself in the end despite the fact that you probably started eating to feel better. This accomplishes nothing but weight gain. Find another coping mechanism. Exercise works wonders for relieving stress and helps you to lose weight!</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t eat when you are full. Many people eat mindlessly, out of habit, or beyond their limits because something is so delicious. Gorging on food is bad for the body, and overloads a person on unnecessary calories. Listen to what your body tells you. Eat slower, this helps you to determine when you are full. When you feel fullness or satisfaction (when the hunger urge is gone), STOP EATING. Get a to-go box, or pack up the rest of your meal for lunch the following day. Left-overs are a good thing.</p>
<p>Drink more water. Many people eat because they think they are always hungry, but it is actually the body communicating thirst, the need to hydrate. Water, in addition to hydration and cleansing benefits, also fills up the stomach and can help to curb hunger. Drink a full glass of water BEFORE every meal to feel full faster, and you will notice this will help to cut back on meal portions.</p>
<p>Have a positive mindset. Getting defeated easily and giving up will only increase your misery and send you swirling back to your previous bad habits. If you look positively at a weight loss plan and understand that you will encounter challenges, but you can work through them; you will accomplish your goals. Keep dedicated and commit with positivity that you can do anything you put your mind to. This will give you strength in your battle against obesity.</p>
<p>Do not deprive yourself. Deprivation or starvation tactics lead to cravings and binge eating. If you want something that you know is not the best for your diet, have some of it. This doesn&#8217;t mean if you want six layer chocolate cake or caramel cream cheesecake to buy an entire cake and eat it in one sitting just because you want to; that is binge eating. Not depriving yourself means allowing yourself to have what you want within the means of your healthy lifestyle plan. Order the dessert you want, but only have a few bites. Satisfy the craving, but don&#8217;t ruin your whole day or week&#8217;s efforts by going crazy. Then understand that since you had something outside of your weight loss plan, you need to compensate with how the rest of your day goes. Get an extra 30 minutes of exercise in or have an all steamed vegetable meal for dinner or cut out that nighttime snack. Evolve with your needs.</p>

<p>When someone says they are born obese, what they are implying is that the metabolic rate in their body is too slow. In a nutshell, what they need is anything to speed up that metabolism. Sooner than later, the weight will peel off of them like skin from a banana. I dont really agree that anyone is born obese. We grow obese by what we eat, do and refuse to eat or do.</p>
<p>To shed weight, one thing works better than all other options. Sure you could diet or undergo weight loss surgery, but what really solves the problem is exercise. And when I say exercise &#8212; I mean lots of it and commitment to it. By this means you are able to accelerate the metabolic rate within your system and get the body you desire.</p>
<p>I dont know about you, but usually my system is slow to digest and pass out food. However on days when I exercise, I find that I am uncomfortable for much less time. I think exercise is the key for quicker metabolism. Thats why in almost every guide or resource on ways to stay healthy and life longer, exercise is always recommended. You too can gain a lot from exercises to boost your metabolism and life longer and healthier.</p>

When you start considering methods and techniques by which you may boost your metabolism,  it&#8217;s important to know that it&#8217;s difficult to do it all on your own. You may need help. <p>You know when the holidays have been a little too good don&#8217;t you? Your pants are just a little tighter, your waist is just a little bigger and your butt&#8230; Well, let&#8217;s not even start on that one!</p>
<p>Not only are your clothes bearing witness to your Christmas overindulgences but when you look in the mirror you see someone who quite simply wasn&#8217;t there at the end of November. And to cap it all your skin, once radiant and smooth now looks pale, grey and blotchy as a result of all the beer, wine, spirits and Christmas pudding that you&#8217;ve force-fed yourself.</p>
<p>At this point, something way down deep inside screams &#8220;STOP!&#8221; and you know that it&#8217;s time to get yourself sorted out and back on the road to health and fitness. Christmas is over&#8230;</p>
<p><span id="more-36"></span><br />
Well, don&#8217;t feel too bad. This is the common Christmas story for most people and, despite the urge to tell ourselves we should have known better, the fact is, what&#8217;s done is done and rather than focus on what went wrong, it&#8217;s time to get to work and get ourselves back into shape.</p>
<p>So Where Do We Start?</p>
<p>Well, despite what you might be thinking, your first priority isn&#8217;t to go rushing off to the gym and start a training program. After all, you&#8217;ve tried that ever year before now and it hasn&#8217;t worked too well has it?</p>
<p>Nope, your first stage of getting yourself into shape is to get cleaned up&#8230; on the INside!</p>
<p>Makes sense when you think about it.</p>
<p>All of December you&#8217;ve been taxing your liver, your kidneys and your lymphatic system with larger than normal quantities of alcohol, larger than normal quantities of richer and higher calorific foods and less than normal quantity and quality of sleep.</p>
<p>Your body&#8217;s natural detoxification system has been literally bombarded for the better part of a month and so, by way of thanks we&#8217;re going to give it a little time off for good behavior by being super-good.</p>
<p>Water</p>
<p>First off, we&#8217;re going to give your body what it wants and needs most&#8230; Water! Water is the ultimate detoxifier because it reduces blood acidity, stimulates lymph, and improves your ability to digest food and eliminate waste. In addition, ample water intake helps to regulate your metabolism, reduce appetite and even improve your skin tone.</p>
<p>So, how much should you drink? Well, a good rule of thumb is 1 litre for every 50lbs that you weigh. So if you&#8217;re 10 stones (or 140lbs) then you need just under 3 litres. Sound a lot? Only because you&#8217;re used to getting by on so little!</p>
<p>Your Diet</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve written numerous diet articles for a whole selection of magazines, but in case you&#8217;re not sure what&#8217;s required then here&#8217;s the short version.</p>
<p>For 30 days:</p>
<p>No wheat</p>
<p>No Dairy</p>
<p>No Caffeine</p>
<p>No Alcohol</p>
<p>No Processed foods whatsoever</p>
<p>In addition, try to eat mainly organic fruit, vegetables and meat.</p>
<p>Sound a little harsh?</p>
<p>It really isn&#8217;t, this is just healthy eating, nothing more, nothing less and, if you follow the guidelines above, you&#8217;ll definitely reap the benefits over the coming weeks.</p>
<p>Your Goals</p>
<p>Whatever you do, don&#8217;t start out your exercise and diet plan this year without knowing EXACTLY what you&#8217;re trying to accomplish.</p>
<p>This is one of the biggest reasons for failing to get appreciable results from diet and exercise programs. You see, without a clear, definite goal, the tendency is to cut corners, cheat and eventually drop off of your program. Obviously, this is not good.</p>
<p>But you can avoid failure entirely by setting clear and definite goals that tell you:</p>
<p>1. What EXACTLY you are going to achieve</p>
<p>2. When are you going to achieve it by</p>
<p>3. What will you need to do in order to achieve it</p>
<p>4. What help you&#8217;ll need.</p>
<p>Without these factors you don&#8217;t have a goal, you merely have a wish and, contrary to popular belief, wishes rarely come true.</p>
<p>Exercise</p>
<p>You might be surprised that I&#8217;ve left exercise til last as this is normally the very first post-Christmas action that people take. But, without putting all of those other steps into place, the likelihood of your exercise plan delivering the goods is minimal anyway.</p>
<p>Now that you&#8217;re clear about what you&#8217;re trying to achieve, drinking plenty of water and have an elimination diet in place let&#8217;s get you moving!</p>
<p>Contrary to popular belief, you don&#8217;t need to join a gym. In fact, strange as it may sound, I think that joining a gym in January is a really bad idea.</p>
<p>Why?</p>
<p>Well, gyms are the busiest, most hectic, most frustrating and downright horrible places to be in January with hundreds of thousands of &#8216;New Year New You&#8217; signups all fighting for the same equipment and making every minute of your visit a misery.</p>
<p>Instead, get some dumbbells and a medicine ball and perform a home program of 10-15 minutes a day, do some stretching, do some walking or other light activity that you feel that you can commit to.</p>
<p>Daily activity (and I mean EVERY Day) will achieve much more than 2 or 3 days a week at the gym as long as you&#8217;re consistent.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s It!</p>
<p>This plan may seem overly simplistic.</p>
<p>You might even be thinking to yourself &#8217;surely that won&#8217;t get me the results I want&#8217; but you&#8217;d be wrong.</p>
<p>This little plan has been used with great success by tens of thousands of people and without fail it has produced great results. It will for you too, but only if you actually DO the things I&#8217;ve told you to do.</p>
<p>Reading about them will get you nowhere and doom your January efforts to failure along with many thousands of others.</p>
<p>Be committed, take action and the results you&#8217;ll see by the end of January will blow you away!</p>
<p>The rest, as they say, is up to you.</p>

I can&#8217;t tell you how many times a week a close friend, colleague or family member tells me they would like to lose some weight, and I know I&#8217;m not the only person that hears this either. Each and every single day millions of people in the USA say to themselves those same words, but even though they might want to lose weight or might even need to lose weight, most people don&#8217;t do anything about it, and really just let the problem worsen. If you have ever wondered to yourself if you really needed to lose weight or not, I have listed a few signs below. Firstly, let me just say, there is a big difference between being over weight and being obese. Usually obesity refers to a person that&#8217;s BMI is over 30 when using the following formula:</p>

<p>The BMI for people at a healthy weight usually falls between 18.5 and 24.9</p>

Dieting is the practice of ingesting food in a regulated fashion to achieve or maintain a controlled weight. In most cases the goal is weight loss in those who are overweight or obese, but some athletes aspire to gain weight (usually in the form of muscle) and diets can also be used to maintain a stable body weight.</p>
<p>The energy humans get from food is limited by the efficiency of digestion and the efficiency of utilization. The efficiency of digestion is largely dependent on the type of food being eaten. Poorly chewed seeds are poorly digested. Refined sugars and fats are absorbed almost completely. Chewing does not compensate for the calorie content of a food that is eaten, even celery, which is primarily indigestible cellulose, contains enough sugars to easily compensate for the cost of chewing it.</p>
<p>Proteins are large organic compounds made of amino acids arranged in a linear chain and joined together by peptide bonds between the carboxyl and amino groups of adjacent amino acid residues. The sequence of amino acids in a protein is defined by a gene and encoded in the genetic code. Although this genetic code specifies 20 standard amino acids plus selenocysteine and  in certain archaea pyrrolysine, the residues in a protein are sometimes chemically altered in post-translational modification.</p>
<p>This can happen either before the protein is used in the cell, or as part of control mechanisms. Proteins can also work together to achieve a particular function, and they often associate to form stable complexes.
